Ramayana, the story of Rama, the Prince of Ayodhya, was the first ever story to be written in the world. The story teller, Valmiki, who wrote the story in the form of a long poem in Sanskrit is called the first poet. The Ramayana is one of first stories a child hears from his parents or grandparents. As children grow up and learn to read, their first choice is again, the story of Rama. This book for children is mainly based on Valmiki's Ramayana.
